I personally preferred the FFB1, as the 2 had a rubberized coating that came off over time. Still, the FFB2 was a good stick. I bought what Best Buy claimed was the last unit in my state. Unfortunately, FFB2 would get finicky with W8/W10 often requiring a unplug/replug to get it working.

My main issue is that theres just not enough buttons to do all the actions. Theres 8 buttons in total plus the dpad whereas an xbox controller has 12 buttons in total. There are no force feedback effects in ED but DO plug the joystick power line in. It powers the joystick and allows it to self-centre when you hold the stick. I bought it second-hand as well.
